Today’s students are preparing to enter a world in which colleges and businesses are demanding more than ever before. To ensure all students are ready for success after high school, the Common Core State Standards establish clear, consistent guidelines for what every student should know and be able to do in math and English language arts from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Get ready to Share your Thoughts with Thoughtexchange to help us better understand what is important to you, whether in your school or the District. Thoughtexchange is an online learning process that allows us to reach out to everyone affected by the decisions made in our District. This process enables us to hear your ideas, and learn about priorities. There are three steps that you will be invited to participate in:
1. Share – answer open-ended questions about education in our schools
2. Star – review ideas from other stakeholders and star the ideas you like best
3. Discover – learn what is important to the community as a whole
On February 12, you will receive an email invitation to participate in this survey. Thanks in advance for your participation. We look forward to hearing your ideas!

Our District focuses on providing the highest quality educational experience for all students. Evidence of that commitment is a high quality physical education (P.E.) program in our schools. Per California Education Code 51210(g), first through sixth grade teachers are required to teach 200 minutes of physical education over 10 instructional days. It is at the discretion of the school as to how and when these minutes are distributed over this time frame. We want to reassure you that student health and wellness are a priority in our schools. Click here for more information about our Annual Notice of Physical Education Requirements.
