Our school district has implemented a new Visitor Management system. Volunteers who want to gain access to school sites during school hours will be asked to present a valid CA driver's license or acceptable ID card. The state’s new Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) replaced California’s finance system for schools. This means districts like ours will receive additional funding for low-income, English learner, and foster youth. School districts will be required to produce Local Control and Accountability Plans.

Every year during the spring, the Chula Vista Elementary School District hosts a speech contest with students from various schools in the district participating. Last year Natalie Wright, a then-fifth grader at Rosebank Elementary School, tried out for the contest with a speech about the importance of recycling.
