Dear Cook Families,
It is a pleasure to welcome you to the 2017-18 school year! Parent involvement is a key element for student success. When parents and teachers stay in touch- through telephone calls, conference notes, emails, and letters-students benefit. You are encouraged to attend our Curriculum Night at our school; to attend scheduled conferences with teachers and to make appointments for receiving your child's progress during the school year; and to join some of the many groups at the school, including the PTA,SSC, ELAC and Safety Committee. Parents can also follow us on:
· Cook Crusaders on Facebook
· @Cookcrusaders on Twitter
We will continue to keep you informed through our "Sunday Message" announcing upcoming school events and reminders-please keep your phone number updated with our school office.
Please help us support your student's academic goals this year by ensuring your student:
· Has a quiet area for studying at home
· Reads every day for a minimum of 20 minutes
· Completes his/her homework
· Attends school every day
· Arrives to school on time
We are looking forward to a very exciting, positive school year filled with learning and engaging family events. If you have any questions, please contact us at 619-422-8381.
